Jo oversees the Education and Community Led Development portfolios at the Hokonui Rūnanga. Born in Hokonui and raised in the Catlins, Jo also spent several decades working all around NZ and overseas. Prior to returning to Murihiku, Jo worked within the FMCG industry and is a member of the founding team who brought Starbucks to NZ. Jo has also studied Psychology and Communication whilst enjoying representing Murihiku & Otakau in rugby.  Jo is the Chair of the Hokonui Community led Health project, and a member of several governance boards including Whakatipu Community Hub, Inspiring Communities NZ, Gore Kids Hub, Menzies College and Te Tapu o Tane.
